20th transplant anniversary

Subject: 20th transplant anniversary
Well What a Milestone occassion!, Not just for myself but for Heart & Double Lung transplantation in Australia & around the World. It feels pretty awesome to have reached my 20th transplant anniversary & to be travelling well at the same time! The party was very fitting of the occassion with around 140 guests comprising of Doctors, teachers from schools I've spoken at over the last 20 years friends, family various Allied Health staff & a wonderful representation from the Adelaide Chest Clinic including those from the fron desk! My wife Kaye said a wonderful introduction, then I entered to the soundtrack from "2001 A Space Odyssey".All the speeches went well that included myself, my transplant Dr Professor Mark Holmes & my hero & Inspiration Dr Helen Caldicott. The PowerPoint presentation of my life so far went down a treat , triggering the odd tear & hopefully will get it up on Youtube for all to view at some stage!
There's plenty happening "in the wings" with for starters being invited to be a Keynote speaker at the World Transplant games in Gothenburg Sweden next year.
So keep popping in here for more updates!
Looking forward to the next 20 years & beyond!
